Fury is a 5 year old true black stallion out of Calypso Magic, a Barlow Chief mare, by Chocolate Venture, a Dock son. He is Judy’s pride and joy.
Everyone notices Fury’s “smooth as glass” gait, "gone like the wind” speed, and "Clark Gable" good looks. Gaiting since his very first day under saddle, he is what every one says this breed is…a dream come true.

In 2006, Fury's 3 yr old show season with trainer Derick Tipton was phenomenal. Whether ridden by a professional or an amateur, he proved himself as a consistent competitor on the rail. Derick says that Fury "is the strongest gaited horse that I have ever ridden"

3yo UMH Stallions/Geldings Classic Pleasure HIgh Point Award
3yo UMH Amateur Classic Pleasure High Point Award

In 2007, as a 4 yr old, Fury's training continued under the direction of HT Derickson. HT, soon, noticed something about Fury that you can only recognize by meeting him "in person". HT say's Fury is the smartest horse that he has ever ridden, and HT has ridden a few over the years. Although Fury's 2007 training was interrupted frequently for contracted breedings by many discerning mountain horse breeders, he began to compete in western classes, pleasure driving, trail obstacle and equitation competitions.
Fury's first foals were born in 2007, proving that Fury would pass on his conformation, gait, and intelligence. These foals also proved that he could produce color, as most of his foals are the color of their dams.

(If you have a Fury baby, we would love to see a picture.
Email a picture with the dam's information and I will add it to our album.)
In 2008, Chris Tipton concentrated Fury's training on further developing his versatility. Competing in the Three Phase Event for the first time, Fury was the Reserve Champion Novice Horse. He finished this show season by winning the UMH World Show Trail Obstacle 5 and older competition, becoming the UMH Barb's Stormy Knight Versatility Award Reserve Champion, and by receiving the RMHA International Rea Swan Versatility Award (only the second stallion to ever achieve this honor). Fury also became the RMHA International 5 year old Stallion Trail Pleasure Champion and (showing off that "gone with the wind" speed) became the RMHA International Pole Bending Champion while setting a new in-gait pole bending record (a performance he repeated at the KMSHA International a month later.)

What a proud papa!!!
Fury's talents have been developed over the years while in the spotlight. He has stood for breeding since the age of 3. He has been field bred to a few select mares and has been available each year of his show career for hand breeding, shipped semen, or artificial insemination. Fury's first "International" foal was born in Australia last fall. We hope you will strongly consider him, when you look for a match for your mare. If you have any questions, please contact us or Chris Tipton for further information.
Standing at Cool Shade Mountain Horses (click on link above for breeding information) Fury's blood lines can be traced back to Tobe 12 times in his pedigree. He is a sixth generation descendant of Tobe and his breeding is 30% Tobe. Fury has no red gene.
